I got myself a MobilePre USB by M-Audio.
This thing is super sweet. It connects via USB (and is thus powered through USB) so I can use it with my laptop. After all of the drivers are installed, you just plug it in and the default playback and recording audio device automatically changes to use this thing. So I can finally play both rythm and lead on my guitar without having to find someone else to play along with.
Coupled with Sony Acid and Sound Forge, I've all of a sudden got myself a little home studio. Quite fun.
